Event: event Jun 1785 execution of will and sale of seat in synagogue of Amsterdam On 28 Sivan 5545 appears before the trustees of the jewish community aluf David ben Sho'el Garnade, the executor of the estate of the late mho' Moshe ben k"h Joseph Levie z.l, with procuration in his hands from all inheritants, themselves or thei r proxies, i.e. all inheritants living in this town gave procuration to David aforementioned and his colleague the executor mr. Jacobus Walraven before notary Pieter Mastenbroek & witnesses on Jan 18th & 19th, 1785 ,and mrs. Beile bat mho' Mosh e z.l. and her spouse gave procuration to these two executors, [in an act] made up in Groningen according to this country's customs on Feb 22nd, 1785, and mrs. Elkele bat late k"h Leib ben mho' Moshe Levie z.l. & spouse gave procuration to thes e two executors in Norden according to custom on Mar 23rd, 1785, and the other inheritants which are not here but already mature [mundig] according to customs, appointed one living here as their agent and gave also procuration to the two executors , [this in an act] made upbefore notary Mastenbroek aforementioned on April 6th, 1785, and for all inheritants not yet mature [mundig] according to the customs of this land mr. Rutger Jan Schimmelpenning was nominated [as their agent], accordin g to 'appointement by edele achtbare heren schepenen' [the city councillors] in this town, may her pomp heighten, registered on Mar 22nd, 1785 in the 'schepens minuutregister, folio 28', and now the executors Walraven and Schimmelpenning also gav e procuration to aforementioned David before the aforementioned notary on Apr 10th,1785, as we undersigned witnesses saw with our own eyes all these procurations,
and now sell 1 seat from this estate to the alufim, roznim, ketsinim pum [the governors] of our community for the community's charity goals, as highest bidder for the amount of fl. 430,-;
signed by 'hak' David Solicitor for myself as well per guarancy'.

R' Moshe Goldschmid left behind 7 children, 3 sons and 4 daughters and they are:

1) R' Joseph Pappenheim who died after the 'fiat' given by 'hoogmogende' [the authorities], and he left small children behind, in whose name comes Schimmelpenning by appointement
2) R' Leib Goldschmid-Stathagen who died and left 2 sons and 2 daughters behind,
one named Moshe, who himself gave procuration here to the executors onJan 18th & 19th, 1785,
one named Joseph, who also died already leaving 1 son called Ber, in whose name came Schimmelpenning by appointment,
one daughter called Sara married to Simon bar Zalman Cohen in Groningen, who gave procuration to R' Leime Wing, who again gave procuration here to the executors on Apr 5th & 6th, 1785,
and one daughter Elkele, married to Samuel bar Kalman in Norden, who gave procuration to the executors before the mayors of Norden on Mar 3rd, 1785;
3) R' Meyer Goldschmit who died, and left 1 son called R' Joseph, who again left small children, in whose name came Schimmelpenning by appointment
4) a daughter called Sheva in The Hague, who gave procuration to R'Jokeb Pinto, and he again gave procuration here to the executors on Apr 5th & 6th, 1785;
5) a daughter called Beile, married to rabbi mho' Itsak in Groningen, who gave procuration to the executors, made up in Groningen according to customs on Feb 22nd, 1785;
6) a daughter called Fraadche, who was married to R' Michel H"B and died, leaving behind 3 sons and 3 daughters, called Getschlik, Joseph & Moshe, and one daughter, Elkele, who gave procuration to the executors here on Jan 18th & 19th, 1785,
one daughter Goetje, married to R' Jokeb in Kleef, who gave procuration to her father R' Michel,
and another daughter, Bracha, married to Wolf bar Liepman in Neistadt Gents, also gave procuration to [her father] R' Michel, and he again gave procuration here to the executors on Apr 5th & 6th, 1785;
7) a daughter called Elkele, who was married to R' Israel in Groningen, and died, leaving behind four sons Leib, Abraham, Wolf & Leizer; the first three gave procuration to R' Leime Wing, and he again gave procuration to the executors here on Ap r 5th & 6th, 1785, and Leizer, the last son died leaving small chidren behind, born to him from his spouse Lea bat Leib, in whose name comes Schimmelpenning by appointment.
