Hi wim and Annie

I have updated information on Eva Samuel Drukker, Eva came to England approx 1870 after Grietje Citroen died. Her husband Abraham took all 5 children and his mother-in-law to London. According to the 1851 Jews in Amsterdam list on dutchjewry, Ev a had been hyphenating her name as Dukker-Citroen. The 1871 London census which is full of transcription errors, when corrected will show that the Eva Cottom living with Abraham Abas and children (Abas is also misspelled) is Eva Citroen.

According to her death cert, she died of senile deterioration in 1879 at 29a Fort St. Old Artilllery Ground. I did a look-up of my great grandparents 1881 census, and that was their residence, so Eva died at the home of her daughter Vrouwtje (Fan ny) Citroen and Moses Van Es. If you need source documents, I will get them to you. I had the death cert and lost it, but a replacement is on it's way.

I am trying to locate her burial. The United Synagoges and the Federated Synagogues do not seem to have her.

Abraham Abas died a year later in London. I have ordered his death cert. I have also ordered Meijer's marriage cert as I don't think we have that one yet.

Best Regards.
Marcy
